This week was the last chapter in the Pick up a Pumpkin story (at least for this year!) when Steve Pratt, the leader of the St Francis Fields ‘A’ Team and I took your generous donations amounting to £450 to meet Bob Harper, the Manager of Rye Food Bank.
They were delighted with this contribution and thanked all our pumpkin pickers for their generosity and support for the charity. All the pumpkins have now gone and hopefully everyone who came down to our pumpkin patch had great fun carving and cooking them for Halloween.
There are now more plans in the pipeline for 2024 at the patch in Field 9 at Saint Francis Fields, so watch this space…
